Best book on Business Architecture so far

Bernard Morris recently received his Ph.D. and the thesis topic he chose was Business Architecture, the first in the world for this newly formed profession. Bernard's view is holistic, understanding the necessity of collaboration among all areas of the company to identify opportunities and solve business challenges. It's a refreshing step up from the many IT-centric discourses found online, which are missing so many necessary elements. You should have this book on your bookshelf!

Tactical look at Business Architecture

This book if more tactical then strategic by far for most of the book but on the tactical side it gives some useful insight into Business Architecture. Most of the screen shot images in the book was too small to be usable but most sections gave input on what was in the screen shot to make them make some since and they give a link at the end of book where you can get all the artifacts used in the book. Overall it gave good input in a tactical manor like the PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) does for the PM field. The final couple of chapters dove more into the strategic by discussing why pattern recognition is critical and discussing a closed loop strategic planning framework that can be used to drive strategic planning around business architecture. There are definitely procedural gems in the book that I could see implementing to drive better business architecture through requirements to ensure a clean transition from as is to the future state of should be.
